1.1 Elo complies with the Data Protection Act of Kenya (2019) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 1.2 Users have control over their personal data and can request modifications or deletions at any time. 1.3 All user data is encrypted to prevent unauthorized access and breaches.

2. ACCOUNT SECURITY

2.1 Password Protection: Users must create strong passwords to protect their accounts. 2.2 Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Elo offers 2FA as an added layer of security. 2.3 Session Management: Users are encouraged to log out of shared or public devices after using Elo. 2.4 Unauthorized Access Prevention: Multiple failed login attempts may result in a temporary account lockout.

3. FRAUD & SCAM PREVENTION

3.1 Elo uses AI-driven fraud detection to identify and prevent scams. 3.2 Suspicious transactions involving Elo Coins or financial scams will trigger automatic reviews. 3.3 Users are advised never to share financial or personal information with others on the platform.

4. LOCATION PRIVACY & SAFETY

4.1 Users can select their visibility settings: Precise, Nearby, or Hidden. 4.2 Location data is not shared with third parties without user consent. 4.3 Elo does not display real-time movement to other users to prevent tracking and stalking.

5. REPORTING SECURITY ISSUES

5.1 Users can report security vulnerabilities via support@elo.plus. 5.2 Reports are reviewed promptly, and necessary actions are taken to address concerns. 5.3 Elo works with cybersecurity experts to regularly audit the platform’s security.

6. PLATFORM INTEGRITY & MONITORING

6.1 Automated monitoring systems detect suspicious behavior and unauthorized access. 6.2 Content moderation tools and manual reviews help prevent abuse and harmful content. 6.3 Periodic security updates ensure Elo remains protected against evolving threats.

7. LAW ENFORCEMENT COOPERATION

7.1 Elo cooperates with law enforcement agencies in cases involving illegal activities. 7.2 User data is only shared with authorities under legal obligations and in compliance with data protection laws. 7.3 Any requests for user information must follow due legal processes.

8. POLICY UPDATES

8.1 Elo reserves the right to update its security policy in response to emerging threats. 8.2 Users will be notified of major security updates via email or in-app notifications. 8.3 Continued use of Elo after an update constitutes agreement with the revised policy.
