These Community Guidelines set the standard for behavior and interactions on the platform. By using Elo, you agree to adhere to these principles. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent bans.
1.1 Treat all users with kindness and respect, regardless of background, race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or identity. 1.2 Hate speech, discrimination, and derogatory language are strictly prohibited. 1.3 Respect personal boundaries; do not pressure or harass other users.
2.1 Do not share, request, or promote explicit, violent, or illegal content. 2.2 Avoid using offensive language, threats, or any form of bullying. 2.3 Spamming, scams, and fraudulent activities are not tolerated. 2.4 Users should engage in conversations with the intention of forming meaningful connections, not for inappropriate or misleading purposes.
3.1 Use your real name and accurate information to foster genuine interactions. 3.2 Do not impersonate others or create fake profiles. 3.3 Sharing personal information, such as home addresses or financial details, is discouraged. 3.4 Users should respect privacy settings and avoid unauthorized screenshots or data collection.
4.1 All interactions should be consensual. If a user indicates disinterest, respect their decision. 4.2 Stalking, harassment, or coercion in any form is prohibited. 4.3 When meeting in person, users should take precautions, such as meeting in public places and informing trusted contacts.
5.1 Elo Coins should only be used within the platform for their intended purposes. 5.2 Do not engage in unauthorized transfers, fraud, or money laundering. 5.3 Elo is not responsible for losses due to user negligence or third-party scams.
6.1 If you encounter any behavior that violates these guidelines, report it using the in-app reporting tools. 6.2 Elo reviews all reports seriously and takes appropriate action to protect users. 6.3 False reporting or misuse of the reporting system may result in account suspension.
7.1 Users must comply with Kenyan laws, including the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, and relevant international laws. 7.2 Any illegal activities conducted through Elo will be reported to relevant authorities. 7.3 Users are responsible for understanding and abiding by local laws related to online interactions and privacy.
8.1 Elo reserves the right to update these guidelines as needed. 8.2 Users will be notified of major changes via the app or email. 8.3 Continued use of Elo after updates constitutes acceptance of revised guidelines.
